• Recipient of the prestigious 2007 Young Scientist Prize in Biological Physics given by the International Union of Pure and Applied Physics (IUPAP) for “outstanding accomplishments in the application of biological physics to the field of medical imaging”. The prize was awarded at the 6th International Conference on Biological Physics, Montevideo, Uruguay, 27-31 August 2007
