SYMPOSIUM ON NEW DEVELOPMENTS IN MOLECULAR IMAGING AND RADIATION THERAPY

Geneva, October 30-31 2003

Dear colleagues,

On behalf of the Swiss Society of Radiobiology and Medical Physics (SSRMP) and the Local Organizing Committee, we extend a warm invitation to this joint Symposium on October 30 to 31, 2003 in Geneva, also accommodating the SGSMP and SBMP
annual general meetings

We are planning to offer you a symposium that is composed of stimulating scientific presentations given by leading experts in the fields of radiation therapy and molecular imaging. There will also be  a platform for SSRMP members' activities outside radiation oncology.

Also we encourage students, engineers, physicians and faculty members to join our symposium.

Dr Habib Zaidi
Chairman of the Symposium

GENEVA

Geneva is an international business and art center, the meeting point of world diplomacy; its political, economic and cultural aura combined with an excellent tourist trade make Geneva a major metropolis of world fame. Great international organizations like the Red Cross, the International Labour Office, the World Health Organization, have their headquarters here. The City of Calvin, clustering around its cathedral and the stronghold of the reformation, is an intellectual city, a metropolis of French-speaking Switzerland with busy streets, shopping centers and lakeshores. Geneva University Hospital is one of the largest hospitals in Switzerland. The Division of Nuclear Medicine is equipped with state of the art PET scanner from CTI/SIEMENS and a radiochemistry lab with a Cyclone 18/9 cyclotron from IBA where 18F-FDG is produced on a routine basis.

SYMPOSIUM & EXHIBITION VENUE

The symposium and annual membership assembly of SSRMP will be held at Auditoire Marcel Jenny in Geneva University Hospital, located in the city center, next to the end stop of bus No. 5 (direction hopital). map
Geneva is easily accessible by road, by train or by plane. For the participants, the Lombard parking garage underneath the faculty of medicine is available.
